[Austen, Jane] The Marquis of Grosse. HORRID MYSTERIES.

[Austen, Jane] The Marquis of Grosse. HORRID MYSTERIES.Translated from the German by Peter Will. Folio Press, 1968. from ‘The Northanger Set of Jane Austen Horrid Novels’.

Ex-library copy in gilt-decorated black boards, tall octavo. No d.j. as issued. The endpapers and first and last pages have library markings, but the text block is clean and tight. Sewn binding. The spine has some areas of lightening or discolouration where the black has rubbed away. Overall, a good copy of this novel in the jane Austen series of works which Austen mentions in her novel NORTHANGER ABBEY.  Scarce.
