Ithell Colquhoun’s exceptionally scarce biographical study of MacGregor Mathers and his involvement with the Hermetic order of the Golden Dawn. Despite some factual shortcomings, still the standard source of information on Mathers. This UK edition is more desirable than the American edition, which does not reproduce the magnificent frontispiece portrait of Mathers in colour.
F.f.e. bears the bookplate of collector and occultist Leigh Blackmore, also a small bookseller sticker. Else Very Good in non-clipped d.j. which about good (slight chipping at head and tail of spine and light bumping to extremities).
